History

> Early history

KindieSpirits started as a game jam entry where the main mechanic was a robot that could not stop a vase from falling over. The jam prototype was called something unpronounceable. It had four playtesters, two of whom cried laughing and two of whom got genuinely angry. That was considered a success.

> How Veneer V∅lt happened

The jam prototype was shelved, but the core idea — adorable robots failing to prevent expensive disasters — refused to go away. Development on Veneer V∅lt began in earnest when the team realised that a museum full of sentient exhibits and one very budget-conscious owner was the perfect container for that original chaos energy. Mr. Veneer was born. The rest, as they say, is ongoing development.
